About

With Lente I want to spread joy and share my passion for travel, yoga, food culture and local handcraft, with an approach to a slow lifestyle.

Do you feel that you’re always competing with the time? Lente is created because of my passion for the slow processes and the need for slowing down. The name Lente is a Latin word and means slow, therefor the name.

I am a graphic designer by profession, based in Oslo, Norway. You will often find me in the kitchen with my camera, perhaps with a glass of wine in my hand and probably with some dust of flour in my face. Other times you can catch me in Italy, sipping coffee in a bar, in search of new adventures.

I arrange travels with love for the slow lifestyle. That means we will support local farmers and artists and travel in small groups away from "mass tourism". We will focus on cooking and eating local food, and spend long evenings around the dinner table. We will connect with ourselves through yoga and mindful moments, find peace and be present with nature. I hope you, like me, will appreciate the beauty of slowing down and seeing the perfect in the imperfect.

To make this experience unique, I have a close collaboration with small businesses and people who share their stories and open up their homes and hearts. People who are dedicated to food, crafts, wine, art and history.

Food is so much more than just food. It’s a way of connecting with other people, opening up the senses and sharing life stories.

To cook, eat and create a good atmosphere around the table is a big part of my life. I simply love exploring new ingredients, flavors and combinations. I have a huge respect for the rules of nature and for the people that have made sure the food ends up on my plate. I also believe we have a lot to learn from the past, when they had to find ways to preserve the available food and not waste anything. Growing up on a farm, this has always been close to my heart. But it has taken time to grow in me.

Learning from food cultures, especially the Mediterranean, has opened up a new world to me. The way the Mediterraneans use their resources and how the dining table reflects the season, is something I want to share with others. Food is the medicine for healthy people. Mediterranean diet is one of the healthiest in the world, and how they enjoy food in good company is also a big part of their high quality of life.

And then it’s yoga, that has been a part of my life for many years. In 2016 I went to India to learn more about the philosophy of yoga, and took a 200-hours certified yoga teacher course. My yoga journey will never end, and I’m always looking for new possibilities to explore more. My vision is that yoga is for everyone, and I can’t wait to share my experience with you.
